Fluffy Sour Cream Biscuits
Do you want a breakfast bread that has the irresistible flavor of sour cream with a fluffy, cloud-like texture that seems to melt on your tongue? Wait no further--the fluffy sour cream biscuits are here!
Some recipes only need one photograph.
Sour Cream Biscuits
-Makes 3 to 4 biscuits
Ingredients
Ingredients
- 1 cup biscuit baking mix
- 1/4 cup plus 2 Tbls sour cream (80g-90g)
- 1/3 cup milk (I used 2% milk)
- Optional: 1-2 Tbls melted butter
Directions
Note: I recommend using a thicker milk, such as 1%, 2%, whole milk, or buttermilk. Lighter milks, such as soy milk or skim milk are too thin and will make the batter too liquidy. However if you want to use these lighter milks, you can always add xanthan or guar guar gum to make the batter stick together.
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Mix all the ingredients together, except for the butter.
- Pour the batter into 3 or 4 greased 1-cup ramekins (or several more muffin tins)
- Glaze the biscuits with the melted butter (optional)
- Bake in the oven for 10-12 min and let cool for at least 5 min.
